390094 2005-09-22 09:14:00 I am using Skype on Win98se. It works fine. Although I use ADSL, I frequently speak with another person, who is on dialup. The quality is excellent.

I was aware that Skype was not recommended for W98, and checked the forums on the skype.com site. Some users at that time (some months ago) said it worked fine on W98, but maybe not for the later Skype versions.

The version I installed then was V 1.1.0.61, which works fine. Each time I start Skype, there's a nag window to 'Update' to the latest V 1.3.0.67.. I have declined that as the present version is fine.

You'll fine information about this in the forums on the skype.com site.
