| 390006 | 2005-09-21 22:09:00 | Hi, I have some mates on "skype" and we are trying to chat over the net. I am having trouble with my Microphone, or more to the point - the software recognising my microphone. I have changed mic's twice - both mic's are working as my voice is coming through the speakers. Yet window's XP does not seem to register my voice when running VOIP or skype. Does any one know how to fix this? Or a program that can help with this issue? |

Record control: controls what is sent to recording or talking programs (ie Skype) It is best to "mute" the mic in the play control, & "select" the mic in the record control. If you open the volume control, and click on "help", it explains how to do this. |

| 390008 | 2005-09-22 08:01:00 | This is a common problem which I encountered with my Laptop and have encountered with our PC. I solved the laptop problem by doing what Bazza said and then ticking the mike boost box in the record control. However, it was a real pain in the proverbial, and I haven't solved it on the PC as yet.It seems to me to be a matter of changing the settings and trying each setting as you change it.
