By "sheep" are you referring to me, or am I by default included in the mob of sheep? With my limited knowledge of these things, I was under the impression that any portable device that plays digitised (?) music is an MP3 player. As always I stand to be corrected.	allblack (6574)

Ease of use, quality of item, and the rest of that dribble doesn't come into it, The name iPod is in widespread use to describe an mp3 player. Your well aware that an iPod is just another MP3 player surrounded by other MP3 players, You just can't admit it. Most are well designed, easy to use, of excellent quality, and nearly all offer better value for money are higher speced and less gay. Anyone with reason would compare options and buy whatever suits. Thats something your not capable of. Granted this "buy Apple, I'm sorted" mentality is similar to the sheep's "Buy iPod, I'm sorted" this doesn't make you part of the same sub-section. Clear as mud. You are correct in that the iPod and many other portable media players can handle the MP3 codec hence why they are termed MP3 players although the default codec used on the iPod is actually the newer .m4a (MP4) due to it being more efficient.	winmacguy (3367)
