2005-09-21 06:18:00 | I'm installin XP Pro on my SATA Hard drive. Ok, I have the RAID drivers on the floppy. My floppy is in working condition and my keyboard is recognized and works. Some reason when it says to press F6 to load third party SCSI or RAID drivers, it doesn't respond and just acts as if I didn't press anything. :waughh: What am I supposed to do? Is there some sort of trick?

2005-09-21 07:39:00 | After you press F6 what happens? Does it continue to load the rest of the drivers and continue with the setup? Windows Setup usually doesn't install the drivers immediately after you press F6, what happens is it will carry on loading all the other drivers needed by setup, then at the end, before accepting the EULA, it will ask you to press S, I think? to load your SATA drivers.

2005-09-21 16:14:00 | CYaBro - Only using 1 SATA HDD . It didn't install . Miami - Basic keyboard . No special key sequences needed . B1nary - When I press F6, it acts like I never touched the keyboard, but I've never went past that part of the installation . I always assumed that it didn't acknowledge me pressing that button and I tried again . I will see how it goes your way . Thanks guys .

Is there some sort of trick? Once you press F6 (or not) Windows will keep loading for some time before it askes for the driver disk. Then once you have the floppy in the drive and press the key it tells you to it will check the floppy for any drivers. It will then ask you which one to use if there are more than one. Once this is done it will load the driver and you should be away. |

2005-09-22 05:43:00 | PS2 for now. After everything is set up, I will be going to my wireless that goes through USB. Well, when it does ask for the disk, it acts like it can't read it....... I was told on a different forum that the drive may not like the disk and to have several copies. I guess I'll be trying that next. :(

2005-09-22 06:35:00 | Make sure all of the driver files are in the root of the floppy and not in a folder. | b1naryb0y (3) | |
