| 390644 | 2005-09-25 04:01:00 | I have used a variety of media players over the years and seem to -finally- have found one that suits my needs. But................. Recently I have found that it has stopped recognising CDs' when I loaded them in the PC, however it will still burn cds'. I find that even when I try to load the cd through <start> <run> it shows no cd there. I have looked at the Itunes help and it suggests I run a diagnostics on the cd which I have done and it comes up with this..................... Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard. Current user is administrator. D: AOPEN CD-RW CRW2440, Rev 2.02 Audio CD in drive. Found 12 songs on CD, playing time 35:38 on Audio CD. Get drive speed succeeded. The drive CDR speeds are: 8. The drive CDRW speeds are: 8 0 0. Any clues, the answers here are beyond my understanding. regards PP |

I find that even when I try to load the cd through <start> <run> it shows no cd there . Hi Percyporter I had trouble a night or two ago when I had put in a CD of Ottmar Liebert . It took about five tries of opening and closing the appropriate drive and other messing around before I got it to recognise that a CD was there . At the time I thought that it might have been the particular CD . However I now think that it might have been ZoneAlarm . Am finding that the most recent version of ZoneAlarm is frequently stopping me going on to the web . When I switch it off then Firefox and/or IE will work . Just a thought ! :thumbs: Misty |
