| 390497 | 2005-09-24 04:12:00 | I am running WORD 2003 and I have a genealogy file sent to me which is a read only file and I want to correct and save again but I am told that it is a read only file and I can't change it. I have looked up GOOGLE and find that I can use CTRL X & CTRL Q but so far I have not succeeded in changing. Operating X P. |

| 390498 | 2005-09-24 04:15:00 | You can right-click on the file and select Properties to remove the Readonly attribute. But since you probably want to keep a copy of the original, why not just make your changes, then Save As under a different name? |
