| 390383 | 2005-09-23 17:13:00 | i was hijacked and after running spybot and adaware i found these items in my c:\windows\system32 file searched but cant find anything on these programs ntlpcrt4.exe wowqasf.exe and wavsbeio.dll they were created at the same time computer was hijacked. an idea what they are and if i can safely delete them. |

| 390387 | 2005-09-23 21:13:00 | It would be nice to know every files name that ever existed, but all we can do is search. They are definitely not files commonly used we can deduce from the searching. If you are worried, just rename them by adding .xxx on to the end.( eg ntlpcrt4.exe becomes ntlpcrt4.exe.xxx ) This makes them unknown files in Windows, and hence safe. But if you should find that one is a required file, just rename it back again. |
