390765 2005-09-26 00:35:00 Haiz. It's the holidays, and I'm bored. To relieve the bordom, I'm wanting to watch DVDs without getting up to go to the TV. So naturally I'm thinking of buying a DVD-ROM Drive. I have one in mind, but need opinions about it

www.globalpc.co.nz

It's cheap and does CD Writing as well, but are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? Does it come with software? How good is BTC as a manufacturer? Anybody has experience with GlobalPC before?

ED:T A mildly important question, how will DVD viewing run on a P3 667mhz, 256mb RAM, Intel Express graphics macnine runnin Win 2000?

All input welcomed

thanks, Edward

Why not go out into the wide wide world & get a part time job. If you can find one. Go to Old Peoples Retirement homes, Rest homes & just talk to them. Dont wasye your life watching make believe on a dvd, got out & experience the REAL world. PJ

Time fly past very fast, Edward, and before you realise how true this is, you are already in the working class. A lot kiwi students in most of my classes have decided to have a lot of fun by shopping here and wandering there instead of studying for their NCEA Level 2 exam. At times, they just amazed me what are they going to do after college considering the fact that they failed virtually all the exams and assessments and strive hard for only an "Achieved". I don't mean to be racist here, just that I am curious at their survivalship when they are grown up.
At the end of this year, I think I will help out and do some community work in my local area's temple. Meanwhile, I have to worried about my English exam, not too much about the sciences.

Cheers :)

P.S. I have got straight Excellences (4 x E) in Biology practice exam:D

Kick back and don't give a damn while you still can, Work is over rated....

What exactly do you find wrong with the "working class"?

I would rather be dragged naked through melted glass then live alife among the suits of this world, Nor would I give any credence to someone who thinks a few marks on a bit of paper are a lisence for survival.....

Real world, Its comin your way real quick i would imagine....
