| 390573 | 2005-09-24 10:48:00 | Hi. I have been trying to tidy up my secondhand computer. Win xp home. In the :add remove programs: I find3 items I am not sure of.."Webhancer Survey Companion...Webrebates (by top rebates.com ) and Viewpoint Media Player (remove only)" . Am I safe to delete these? |

However read the uninstall instructions first (webhancer.com) as apparently there might be problems with your winsock which will leave your computer without internet access. Download this (www.cexx.org) before you start uninstalling the software so that if you lose internet access, you have the repair tool handy. | Jen (38) | ||

| 390576 | 2005-09-25 01:36:00 | Hi... Coincidently my son's computer picked up the problem ,Friday , that stops him accessing the internet, even tho he seemed to be connected,(the two little monitors are showing on the task bar). I downloaded the LSPfix on my comp and transferred it to a floppy which I then put on my son's computer, Instant cure!!! On my comp I shall run ad aw.. and Spyb..then delete the former mentioned nasties and if I have the same problem hopefully I shall have no difficulty fixing it. Thank you both for your prompt input. |
