1378775 2014-07-08 04:55:00 I know this won't apply to many of us on the forum, but I am looking for travel insurance for SWMBO and self for about a month next year.

Problem 1. I will be 72. SWMBO under 70
Problem 2. I had a stroke 2 years ago. SWMBO in good health

I have looked on the net and found this lot http://www.nzseniors.co.nz/ who will cover stroke victims as long as it was over 12 months since stroke and not an ongoing problem. (I fit the bill on both)

Has anyone had travel insurance from these people/

Any comments appreciated

Young Ken :thanks

1378776 2014-07-08 06:30:00 I see from Google that NZSeniors is a part of the ACE Insurance Group. World wide from New York and Zurich.

My only concern is that Ace also run Combined Insurance - used to be such a very dead loss company years ago.

Who does your house, contents and car Insurance? They might be worth a call.

1378777 2014-07-08 07:18:00 Vero don't advertise cover for travel. BNZ will cover me for the small sum of just under $2000 :(

The ratings will help weed some out

1378779 2014-07-08 08:05:00 Vero may not advertise but I would bet that they will do it for their existing clients. Travel is not the type of business that Insurers wont because of the high loss ratio, mainly baggage. However, they do it as an accommodation for their existing clients. Bryan (147)
1378780 2014-07-09 00:14:00 I went to Australia last year. Booked the ticket at Flight Centre and they arranged the Insurance. I am 80 and had a stroke 15 years ago. mzee (3324)
