Hope Mr and Mrs T are okay!)... Anyways I was flicking around the net today and noticed this article (quite a good read none the less) and thought... I know that name! For all the people that are going to say this is old news I don't usually look at this section of NZHerald, I'm more of a Stuff.co.nz type guy and was unaware she did this role too. www.nzherald.co.nz |

Hmm......I was years and years off being able to read, I remember Pong. I progressed to a computer - off sorts - after the money consumed by the arcades became a bit excessive. Gaming on smartphones....hmmm......not sure Angry Birds counts either, personally. 100 hours of Battlefield....well sort of. Having started way back when and progressed through all the snazzy new hardware upgrades and watched the games become awesome at least in terms of graphics......then having seen it suddenly jump backwards 20 years because the new thing is phones and other limited devices, I can see their point.....I don't consider some twee platform thing I played 20 years ago a real game anymore. I'll allow consoles, they end up behind, but then new ones come out and there are some impressive games there for a time. Badly ported to the PC sadly, or not ported at all, even worse. Look at Korea...the gaming championships, you think it's going to be a bunch of girlies thumbing their smartphone Tetris game? I think not..... |
