| 1378082 | 2014-06-28 23:52:00 | The tribunal heard Bodde's car troubles began in September 2012 and he made seven visits to Giltrap to get the oil topped up. However, the thermostat failed in January this year, and Bodde took the car back to Giltrap to be repaired. The next day, Bodde, who sold former All Black Ali Williams' Westmere house last year, said Giltrap told him Audi had authorised it to replace the vehicle's engine. What the hell has the customer's having sold some real estate to an uninvolved third party got to do with the matter at hand? Let's have some relevance in your reporting, Herald! This is nothing more than pathetic puffery in the worst traditions of Timese. :angry Link to the Herald article (www.nzherald.co.nz) |

The car owner has a marketing background. Hard to know if a warranty (extended) was involved, and a thermostat failing within a few years? Probably wrongly installed. |

| 1378087 | 2014-06-29 08:30:00 | Why would anyone go to the Dealer to get the oil topped up 7 times? Unless the dealer was his regular Service Station. | mzee (3324) | ||
| 1378088 | 2014-06-29 22:46:00 | If the car had been fixed, then whats the issue ? It was faulty, they fixed it. So why did he get his money back? Its a car, its not a perfect 100% fault free piece of engineering. I thought it was common knowledge that if reliability is a concern, buy a Toyota, not a Euro car. |
