2014-07-09 04:44:00 | I hope you have a good insurance policy, now to convince them the wind also caused the water damage in the bathroom while you're at it :) | dugimodo (138) | |
2014-07-09 05:35:00 | insurance won't be a problem.........i don't think they will accept the bathroom repairs just somehow. hopefully they will accept the pc repairs. just looking on the fire callout lists.......they have been busy and theres a lot of people thats in the same situation and a fair few a whole lot worse.

2014-07-14 10:44:00 | small update.... now have the garage roof jacked up and put on top of the wall, and temporally fastened it. the ute is no longer a structural part of the garage. unfortunately all this has delayed my floor repairs.

2014-07-14 22:59:00 | If your garage had only had a particle board McFloor, it would obviously been still intact. I read the weetbix gazette on true-to-life stories of how a sawdust and glue paste at sub-carpet level saved endangered snails, 150 orphans, and kept the pyramids from meteor strike. (They report that exhaustive scientific tests are unable to conclusively prove the pyramids do not have a particle board structural internal element. So there, you naysayers and skeptics.) ;) | R2x1 (4628) | |
2014-07-15 06:10:00 | things are improving. gib is off, well it sort of fell off and ended up in a lump like porridge. these are my wall position adjusters.

2014-07-23 07:33:00 | back to crawling under the house fitting supports for the bathroom floor. also starting expanding foam filling the big gaps so the bathroom is no longer venting to under the house. mmmmm.....sweet smell of construction adhesive :punk

2014-07-24 04:46:00 | . . Strange really, that one house could develop so many leaks in so many inappropriate places . There are times when there is nothing quite so satisfying as a leak, and then there are times when leaks are rather inconvenient, or even embarrassing . Then there are the leaks that are terrifying, and are accompanied by strong winds and sinking feelings . These seem to happen in two places only: at sea or when surrounded by strangers in a quiet room or movie theatre . Cheers Billy 8-{) :o
