| 1378417 | 2014-07-04 07:54:00 | Lets look at another scenario... Lets imagine the crim was Prince William of Pommieland. Does anyone imagine he would get the book thrown at him, or would he get a somewhat softened penalty? The Royals like to be seen to be in there with their commoners, but the reality is they get a sheltered life, not devoid of risk, but 'robbed' of the serious risks. None of them will be front-line fodder in a war. They''ll be somewhere further back behind the lines every time. Not immune from harm, but not in a task with a life expectancy of a week or less either. Sure, all laws should be applied equally to all. But they're not. Wealth and position distort the 'justice' dished out every day of every week, right across the globe. If we don't get all uppity about it when it's whitie, then we should **** when it's a dark prince in the gunsights as well. Good luck to him. It's no fun being expected to be greater than you are led to believe you can be. We all make mistakes. Personally, I think the whole concept of 'Royalty' is a joke. It's absurd to recieve such distinction by birthright alone. I'm totally oblivious to any NZ Royalty. They just don't rate any merit on my dial. |

Sorry to rain on your parade but Princes Andrew, William & Harry have all served on the front line fact. |

Good grief, the other day we had a delinquent schoolboy walking in the same footsteps as Martin Luther King and Kate Sheppard and now youre comparing this criminal to Prince William. I really think we should compare Apples with Apples and Toadstools with Toadstools. :D |

Harry was withdrawn from all activities overseas....to keep him safe. Once William was going to be a dad, Harry was allowed to continue....he's not required now, you see. William would not be allowed at the front so to speak, yes they can play army...but not completely at risk. |

But until he was withdrawn he was on the front line flying attack missions as was older brother and uncle. Andrew flew front line missions in the Falklands, not much of a war I know but tell that to those who served there |
