Moi, (being a considerate driver of some renown :groan:) slows to let a car from a side street to complete the turn and join the traffic, a manouvre unfamiliar to drivers south of the Bombays especially in provincial centres, plus Chowick, and West Auckland. :devil Moi indicates to the turning car it is free to join the queue, and when it hesitates, flashes the lights. Joining car then guns it to join the queue and in a display of gratitude the passenger awards several vigorous one fingered salutes. Next, the white Holden behind me lights up like a Christmas tree, albeit with only red and blue lights, overtakes me and pulls over the car with the passenger with the one fingered salutes. Don't you just LOVE IT when that happens! :D Especially when you pull way over to let a tail-gating vehicle past, then you get the rampant digit of gratitude, and they get the red & blue lights for crossing the double yellows, and speeding to boot! Was at a set of lights in Cameron Road by Mc Ds and there were a heap of bikie gang members waiting at the red as well. The right turn arrow went off but the bikies decided to cut the right turn traffic off by going straight a head. said to the finance committee " Where's a cop when you need him" Just then the plain cloths holden also waiting at the lights lit up and did a U turn and chases them. By the time we got to Miter 10 there were 4 other cop cars there with them pulled up. A couple dived down a side street but don't think that they were chased.. | paulw (1826) | ||
