| 393056 | 2005-10-03 10:17:00 | Hi, Having problems shutting down Win98SE. Lately been getting blue screen of death with the following message: Windows A fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:00000002. The current application will be terminated etc. Can anybody help me to remedy this? I've installed a patch few years ago that dealt with a known shutdown bug that occurs in Win98SE. This latest problem seemed to have started after I installed the lastest Firefox version 1.07. Cheers David |

| 393057 | 2005-10-03 19:23:00 | What does it say AFTER that bit, it normally say fatal exception occurred at xxxx IN something. The something will be the cause of the problem. Like Nortons for instance. |

| 393058 | 2005-10-03 20:15:00 | the "0028" prefix for error messages is often bits of Norton. After it has been uninstalled there are bits left over . Have a look for symNRT, ( Symantec Norton Removal Tool) thats from symantec that will give your comp a clean up afdter removing Norton. Is that what you've done recently? |
