392736 2005-10-11 03:49:00 Do any of these appear in Add/remove programs?

ISTsvc, Yoursitebar or Slotchbar or xxxtoolbar?

If so uninstall them.

Did you do a scan with Trojan Remover?

392737 2005-10-12 01:42:00 None of those things appear in Add/Remove settings, and yes I scanned with Trojan Remover. In fact it does a quick scan every time I log into an account (haven't disabled it cause it's so fast). ojibwa (8968)

392742 2005-10-13 11:55:00 I need a friggin' credit card for that site :horrified

Many times when I run a search (Google) on error messages related to virus's/spy/adware I end up with a link taking me to that site, and it's completely useless to me :(

Just scroll right down that page and you can see the questions and replies to that problem. I think they deliberately put that "Sign up to see the Solution" above that large page area being used for their site directory so that people who do not scroll down, think they must sign up (and pay) to see the answer.

392744 2005-10-14 04:18:00 I only tried to reproduce the last solution on that page which was said to have solved the problem, the only thing Is I get an error message when I open up the program ToolbarCop as follows:

ToolbarCop
Run-time error '429':
Active X Component can't create object
OK

The program seems to open after I press OK, but nothing in the program seems to be functional, as in nothing happens when you select any of the options in the Main, Tools, or Help folders, or any other buttons for that matter.

I tried searching up that error message but came up with nothing (using Google).
