| 393037 | 2005-10-03 04:01:00 | Help!!! lost all my Word files 'System Mechanic' I downloaded System Mechanic and was having a play. Very nice I thought. Did quite a lot with it. Searched for duplicate files then deleted them 248 files quite a few?? Then I discovered all my word files had disappeared. Is there a FREE programme for restoring deleted files??. Any help appreciated Running XP Home |

If you can'r restore the files via System Mechanics, the less you use the computer between now and getting a recovery programme to go over the hard disc(s) the better . Most recovery utilities will have an aption to boot from a CD . Can you access the net and burn a disc elsewhere? How proficient are you with software, how important are the files? It might be better to ph your local tech . |

These utilities posses really awesome recover algorithm, it never failed me before and was able to bring back data, long considered lost. Give it a try. http://www.active-undelete.com/ http://www.uneraser.com/ |
