393551 2005-10-05 06:21:00 Greetings PF1, after downloading GAIM, I was questioned if I would like to proceed the installation even though I am not running the latest GTK. I have tried searching for it in sourceforge.net, but I am not sure if I know what am I looking for because there are some other files bearing the almost the same name as well. Thanks a lot

Cheers :)

393552 2005-10-05 06:40:00 Did you download the package with the GTK included? See here (gaim.sourceforge.net). Jen (38)

Sorry Jen, I guess I meant the wrong thing. I think it is supposed to be GTK+ runtime environment. This is the screenshot (imagef1.x10hosting.com).

Cheers :)

393554 2005-10-05 08:31:00 Your screenshot dialog box is asking whether you would like to upgrade. Why not just click "Yes" then and let it upgrade it? Jen (38)

393556 2005-10-05 11:31:00 Personally I just downlaod the 6-7 meg version of Gaim that comes with it. Its the default download anyways for Windows IIRC Chilling_Silence (9)

Yup, after clicking "Yes", it did upgrade the GTK+ Thanks a lot. What is the purpose of GTK+ Runtime Environment in Windows? Does it give Windows a Linux environment, as it name might indicates?

Cheers :)

393558 2005-10-06 01:47:00 Gtk is a set of widgets: Scroll bars, buttons etc. Chilling_Silence (9)
