I have some problems abt ADSL,The Telcom guy saids It might have some problems in my internal wiring that cause I cann't get the signal from Telcom,then I go to check the Phone jeck that only one pair which is white and red in use,but black and green.so should I connect that black and green for ASDL,Which pair is for ADSL? |

The other pair is for a second phone line, no need to connect them because the ADSL should be on your 1st line (white & red pair) |

I think hosaki is saying that the phone jack is using black and green rather than R+W. The colours shouldn't matter, the important thing is can you use the phone? Unless you have had a splitter installed by Telecom, the ADSL signal will be on the same pair as dial tone. If you can get dial tone but not ADSL chances are that it hasn't been turned on at the exchange. |
