393478 2005-10-05 01:10:00 I have also recently started getting a screen coming up half way through the boot process saying "Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application.
the windows regisry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists.
if you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program.
if you still want to use the device file try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.
nwlink.vxd
press a key to continue"
this is what it says every time i boot up and i havnt deleted or done anything to this file. i dont even know what is does or what it is for. help please

393480 2005-10-05 05:59:00 You need to re-install the ipx/spx network protocol.

Go to Control Panel and under Network Connections
