| 393739 | 2005-10-05 23:19:00 | Anyone remember that iso someone made available that contained all the patches/updates for W98? (not the OS, just the updates) It was an unofficial release but did have some discussion on these boards, Does anyone know where to locate the item? Thanks in advance. |

| 393743 | 2005-10-05 23:48:00 | Hi people. The blurb on that site describes the content as "self extracting, self installing". I would like to download it for an old 98 box I am tidying up for a granddaughter to do homework on - not on internet. Will it let me download on my XP Pro and save to a CD for transfer to the 98? Or, if I click on download will it attempt to install or load on my XP. Advice appreciated. | Scouse (83) | ||

| 393745 | 2005-10-05 23:56:00 | You can download it to a folder opn your XP computer. Then burn the executable it to CD, and then run the program from CD in the W98 machine. (I think that's how it goes) |

| 393747 | 2005-10-06 00:28:00 | That file can't actually be opened in XP, I just tried it to see what would happen. It gives you the message that the operating system is not the right one if you do try to :) | Terry Porritt (14) | ||
