Can even force right click, Yep, as I noted last night: We were watching The Girl With a Pearl Earring, on DVD of course, and during a slow bit (quite a lot of the flick was slow) I did a Google Image Search for Vermeer paintings and downloaded a heap, transferring them to CD so we could watch them on the telly after the film was over. At one Vermeer site a warning came up "Cannot download image, etc." but having installed the correct extension Firefox went ahead and downloaded anyhow.... and I had forgotten that I installed that extension. Nice! |

Heres what i got so far (on Fx version 1.0.7): Enabled Extensions: (19) - Adblock 0.5.2.039 - Adblock Filterset.G Updater 0.2.4 - CustomizeGoogle 0.29 - Download Statusbar 0.9.3.1 - eWebMail Color and Graphics 2.14 - Fasterfox 0.7.2 - Flashblock 1.2.9 - FlashGot 0.5.9.95 - Hotmail Tabs 0.9 - IE View 1.2.5 - imagepref 2005.08.30 - MediaPlayerConnectivity 0.4.4 - MR Tech Local Install 3.1.0 - NoScript 1.1.3.2 - PDF Download 0.5.1.2 - SessionSaver .2 0.2.1.028 - Show Image 0.3 - StumbleUpon 2.04 - Tab Mix 0.2.2.3 No doubt i need to play around with it to understand all its "features". For example 1) Initially Fx will open/connect my modem's config page after entering user name and password (these are saved in the password manager) all sweet-as... for a while but later for some reason the page wont load/connect but times out. Even if i try IE i get the ol "cannot find server" page. I have to unplug/plug in my modem for the config page to load again... guessing something resets? 2) Anyone bother with NoScript? can block javascript and stuff... 3) Having probs viewing videos. Mostly vids are playing in the actual media player rather than playing embedded on the page. oh and havent managed to get Quicktime to play any .mov files in Fx. any tips appreciated |
