394888 2005-10-10 07:03:00 I use XP home. Mozilla browzer.
Quite often - and it seems random - while browzing i click on a link and get a message box saying
"alert: the item contains no data"

What does this mean?
sometimes I get the link ok, sometimes I don't. Doesn't seem to have any consistency.
What can I do to avoid this alert?
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks

394889 2005-10-10 07:20:00 Don't know what it means except that in the last week, I have been getting that message more and more, and even couldn't access yahoo mail the other day, as that message kept coming up. supergran (108)

394891 2005-10-10 08:09:00 I think the problem stems from incorrect advertisement resolution. Possibly a Java issue with Mozilla, but I see no info on resolving it. godfather (25)
394892 2005-10-10 21:14:00 Yes it is to do with ad-blocking. Have a look at this.......

394893 2005-10-11 01:57:00 marc c thanks for the link. It may work for firefox but not for Mozilla. devizer (9043)

Try that one then.

(Tip: all I'm doing here is putting "document contains no data" (with the quotes) in google and then Mozilla. Not trying to put you off asking here but that's what I do if I have a problem. Have a good hunt around first.)

Cheers :D

P.S. This happens to me sometimes with firefox, just sometimes, this "document contains no data". I had thought it was to do with timing out. Some days it happens lots, then nothing for weeks. Bit of a puzzle really but not one that really bothers me. That link in mozillazine has lots of info.

394895 2005-10-16 04:16:00 Thank you all for trying.
None of the suggestions worked so I deleted Mozilla and reinstalled using the most up to date version.
So far I haven't been toubled with "the document contains no data"
Fingers crossed.
Thanks again all.
