394879 2005-10-10 06:47:00 If you did an Upgrade, and it certainly looks as if you did, I myself would not delete it.
If you really need the space, what about doing a clean install.

394880 2005-10-10 06:51:00 what do you mean doing a clean install and upgrade. Trema (9042)
394881 2005-10-10 06:59:00 Clean install probably means reformatting your HDD completely before installing XP. Upgrade means you install XP over your previous OS (I am guessing...).

Cheers :)

394883 2005-10-10 07:11:00 what is in the folders? Prescott (11)
394884 2005-10-10 08:20:00 Do you own a full copy of XP, or just an upgrade copy? If you only own an upgrade copy, you should look into borrowing a copy of XP pro off someone, wipe the hard drive & reinstall. Greven (91)

394886 2005-10-10 14:31:00 Just delete it, then tell us what happens, we need a guinea pig!!

At a guess I would say XP installed itself into the Windows folder.

If the s__t hits the fan, you can always reinstall.

Make sure you have your data backed up first.
