395740 2005-10-13 03:42:00 Hi people,

Im currently sorting out a new computer, i have got evrything sorted xcept for the graphics card. I dont want to spend too much on it, $350 max..

Im currently wondering what would be the better option; would i be better go and:

Pay not too much and get something like the
legend GeForce 6600GT PCI-E 128mb

Pay a bit more and get the
Leadtek GeForce 6600GT PCI-E 128MB

Pay a bit more again and get the
Leadtek GeForce 6600GT PCI-E Extreme Edition 128MB

The only other option i am considering is, if i was going to spend the money and get the Leadtek extreme edition, would i be better off spending the same amount and get a legend 6600GT 256mb PCI-E card instead of the 128mb extreme card???

Im intrested in evryones thoughts.. or even suggestions on other cards..

Out of the above, where is the point that wil get me the most bang for my buck..? Note that i do not upgrade my compters often, so it would be very nice to have the card last and still be able to handle most things over the next 2 years.

Im not a SERIOUS gamer, but i will be running some demanding games ocationaly, and it would be nice to have things running real nice, and looking gr8..

Thanks

395742 2005-10-13 04:09:00 Trying to find the ballence between them all is what im finding hard, cause u can shell out quite a bit more $$ for the extreme card and im not sure if its worth the exta.. Is the performance jump worth the $$? Someone (9064)

Legends GT6600 is 256mb - there isn't a PCI-E version of theirs in 128mb.

Pay a bit more and get an X800Pro.
