| 395599 | 2005-10-12 20:57:00 | Currently, I'm running a wired Linksys BEFSR41, and have a broadband connection. Everything works great. Recently, I got a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I followed all the instructions hooked up the ethernet cables, and bam! it doesn't connect to the Internet. I switch the cables back to the old router, and bam! Internet works. :badpc: Anyone got a clue as to what is going on? PS- is there a way I can daisy chain the routers? (have the wireless one connect to the wired one) Thanks! |

| 395601 | 2005-10-12 23:40:00 | Ok, more info. Ip address? Which one? The that my computer is on the network or the internet? With both the working router, and the wireless router, the IP for the main pc is 192.186.1.100 or something. How do you find out your internet IP past the router? Could you be more specific as to what info you need? Thanks! |

| 395603 | 2005-10-13 02:28:00 | tinypic.com This is just a basic setup. I switch the router from the wired, to the wireless, all cables still attached the same, and the wireless router doesn't work. I cannot access the internet with it. I can, however, type 192.168.1.1 into my browser to get the router settings.tinypic.com This is just a basic setup. Working router- The ip is 192.168.1.101 when accesed from my network places, 192.168.1.101 when accessed from the router settings. Not working router- go through the setup and it sets the ip to 192.168.1.100 Oh and the internet and network lights are lit up on the wireless router (they should be). I'm sorry if I am not giving enough info, as I'm not very "skilled" in networking. Thanks! |
