395500 2005-10-12 05:32:00 Hey, I've got a second hand AMD Duron 1000 computer that I got from a friend a while ago, and it works pretty well for basic stuff but is a bit limited by having only 128MB of RAM. I'm not in a position to spend a great deal of money on it (and I'd get a completely new computer if I was), but I would like to be able to do a bit more with it. :dogeye:

New PC133 SDRAM is actually twice as expensive as 400MHz DDR RAM, so that's not a great start.

Anyway, I'd be really interested if anyone had any spare PC133 SDRAM, left over from an old computer perhaps, or just floating round. My computer only has two slots so the bigger the chips the better. I'd be more than happy to pay for any postage, and a bit more if you want.

If I'm breaking some PressF1 rules by posting this, or am completely out of order in an old hardware appeal like this, sorry; I did have a look round first but didn't see anything against it.

I would suggest TradeMe, but then I see people are paying twice what its worth, so thats not a good idea

I'll say ditto there, and if you have any "old" amd duron 100 machines lying around just send em my way, I'm sure i can find a use for them :D

395503 2005-10-12 19:41:00 I have a whole AMD box just sitting here (Auckland) I was gonna use it as a file server but I've changed my mind. It has everything except a hard drive

Duron 900MHz or 1GHz and 128MB PC133 SDRAM (could be 100 I'm not sure)

If you want it send me a private message.

cheers
