| 395365 | 2005-10-11 21:56:00 | hey the screen shakes real bad, almost like the vertical hold is out of whack. It messes up both immediatly when the computer is turned on and after the computer has been running awhile. I can hook up an external monitor to it and have a perfect picture which means the video card is fine. I have also tryed installing another operating system after formatting but the same thing happens. I dont know if the monitor is dead or the LCD inverter has gone bad. Can anyone help me? (PS: What does the inverter do anyway?). | kemarofangs (9060) | ||

So that's probably OK, if the screen is illuminated all over, and it doesn't flash on and off. Can you find an angle for the lid (not necessarily a "usable" postion) which makes the screen stable? If so, it might just be that a connector on the cabel connecting the LCD to the computer has worked out so that it's mostly making contact. |
