395299 2005-10-11 08:48:00 Hi all,

My wife uses Outlook at her work, but due to the stinginess of her employer, the lady she jobshares with will be using the same computer, and as it turns out, the same logon!

Now all she wants to do is keep some of the emails that she receives private from the other lady, and in doing so preserve some sanity from prying eyes...... Is there anyway that Outlook can be configured to have a password on a particular folder when there is an attempt to open that folder? Or is she better to do something a little more fancy?

Any help most appreciated!

Cheers

Craig. :D

395300 2005-10-11 09:14:00 If they are using the same logon and email address then I don't see how you could stop the other lady from viewing any emails that arrive when she is on.

Do you know if the PC is networked and if so is it on a Domain?

Yes the PC is networked, and indeed has it's own domain. I am tending to think she should seriously complain about some sort of privacy breach - as it's not really on. But in the interim we were looking to see if we could find a stop gap to cover the problem.

office.microsoft.com
www.slipstick.com

Or another idea if she puts all her emails she does'nt want any one to see in a zipped folder .
Password it and send it back to herself.

The easiest being encrypting her personal .pst files

Second easiest (But would also work with standard Outlook) would be to use Truecrypt (truecrypt.sf.net) and place the PST etc within the encrypted virtual drive.
