| 395241 | 2005-10-14 10:13:00 | Oldies - I am not sure if I have understood all of this thread, but FWIW, I have an analog video camera and have successfully transferred it to DVD to view on the TV. The capture method was using a WinFast TV card and converting it to MPEG-1. For some reason MPEG-2 or any other format produces distortion, nevertheless the end product is the identical, i.e. the DVD disc played in the DVD player to TV looks the same as the vidcam (with mini tape) connected directly to the TV. I don't want to hijack this thread but sometime I will start a new post about why my system is limited to just MPEG-1. BTW, I have discovered that not all DVD players will allow MPEG movies to be viewed. Two of my friends have DVD players less than a year old and they won't play even small MPEG clips, but our 2+ year old Philips works fine. |
