| 395252 | 2005-10-11 04:02:00 | I actually posted a question on this topic yesterday but unfortunately the replies that I got did not resolve the problem and since so many people use Firefox I cannot believe that I am the only one with this problem. It all started when I was prompted (by a web page) to upgrade to Macromedia Version 8 ....which I did. Since that time I cannot view any page at any site which uses Macromedia Flash.....the page is just blank. I can view the same page normally using IE. I went to the Mozilla help forum and was advised to uninstall the Ad block extension that I had. Initially this solved the problem but today when I restarted my computer the same problem is back...ie not able to view Macromedia Flash content in pages with Firefox. I do not now have Ad block on my computer. I run Widows XP SP2 Fully updated as well as antiviral anti spyware and Firewall protection...all up to date and all scans clean. PLEASE Help...I would really hate to to have to go back to IE.as my browser. |

Good suggestion thank you very much. Now is there a way to transfer all my bookmarks and Extensions etc to the new profile?? |

| 395261 | 2005-10-11 09:38:00 | [Edit... forget the following, if seems all is OK] Uninstall Firefox Delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\symiggy\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox Turn off virus/spy/fire protection, run your computer nude. Download the latest version of Firefox and install, with no extentions. After a we while, you decide, switch your firewall back on, then surf for a bit, switch the next thing back on, etc etc. |
