396578 2005-10-15 07:09:00 I have just recently obtained a computer with XP installed.
Whenever I have any program running the date hides behind the taskbar instead of popping up, the same with 'Click to begin' on the Start button. Other labels on taskbar do show, such as Show hidden icons.
Help would be appreciated.

396579 2005-10-15 07:18:00 Had you unwittingly enabled the "Autohide toolbar" function?

Cheers :)

You mean the pop up text that shows the day date and month was hidden behind the task bar? I got a problem similar to this. I just log off then log on and everything is ok.

396581 2005-10-15 07:40:00 Hi Jameskan, Autohide the Taskbar is not ticked. You can see the top parts of the letters just poking above the blue bar.

Hi Mr Wetzyl, Your suggestion has worked, what a pain to always have to do this.

396584 2005-10-15 20:03:00 This happens to me to sometimes. However i just click on an empty section of the taskbar and it seems to come back again.

You can double-click on the clock to get the date.

Right click the Taskbar and select Properties then make sure there is a tick in
Keep the taskbar on top of other Windows.
