396420 2005-10-15 01:00:00 Is there I way I can schedule a log off in Win 2000. Say, I'm downloading an file, it's too big to wait for it coz I have to go. Is there a setting that'll allow me to schedule an automatic log off, say after an hour, when I think the file is finished downloading, and then somebody else can use the computer.
If there is such a function, can it also work when I lock the computer? probably not right, coz it's gotta log on before it can log off. But plz let me know anyway.
Thanks.

396421 2005-10-15 03:55:00 Try bob_doe's Shut Down program (www.pressf1.co.nz) (link is in his signature). It can shut down the computer or log you off and works a treat. .

396423 2005-10-15 06:05:00 A simple one line AutoIt (http://) script does it with Windows XP at least (I had the Workstation Locked and ran the script as a scheduled task, all open programs were forced to close).

The full script logoff.au3 is

shutdown(4)

to make it wait an hour you add a line to the start

sleep(3600000)

Or you could use the windows scheduled task..
