396366 2005-10-14 21:45:00 When I open my hotmail's new message editor from Firefox, in the Tools menu there isn't any 'Rich-text Editor' available. Whereas, if I open it from my good old Internet Explorer, this option (Rich-text Editor) is there for me to use.

There are many other features which Firefox is not available or not compatible. Can't really recall off-hand what are they, though. I'm using Firefox 1.0.7

Cheers

396367 2005-10-14 21:58:00 I don't know for sure but I would strongly suspect that the rich text format is only available in Internet Explorer due to the Active-X applet that Firefox and Opera do not have.

This is why certain other features work in IE but not in Firefox and Opera, including the security threats. ;)

Cheers :)

If you want to keep using Firefox, you download an extension called IE View which adds an option to the right click menu to view the page in IE, and an option under tools to always view a page in IE.

addons.mozilla.org

I'd reccomend you continue using Firefox for security reason until MS release IE7, start of next year maybe. After IE7 is released, using Firefox would be more for moral reasons rather than security reasons.
