| 396209 | 2005-10-14 19:53:00 | ok this error keeps popping up each time I turn on my computer: Direct Access Component has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. then I click to see data this error contains and that says: Error signature: EventType : BEX P1 : tfswctrl.exe P2 : 3.50.31.0 P3 : 3e1f3ed8 P4 : kernel32.dll P5 : 5.1.2600.2180 P6 : 411096b4 P7 : 00010f8b P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000 Reporting details: And if you view the technical information about the error report, The following files will be included in this error report: C:\DOCUME~1\Amy\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER0452.dir00\tfswct rl.exe.mdmp C:\DOCUME~1\Amy\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER0452.dir00\appcom pat.txt So, I've tried looking at the appcompat.txt file....that doesn't make much sense to me....and I can't open the crash dump file - it automatically opens up in Microsoft video studio .NET. Should I open it with another program? Which one? I've also read up on forums for other people that had the same error, but most of them involved incompatibility with a program/service pack/something that they just installed. I haven't installed anything new recently. All this started after I was working on a Word document that contained ALOT of Excel graphs, and each graph had ALOT of data points. Also, the computer won't let me simply go start-->turn off computer. It logs off and starts shutting down, but then it hits this blue error screen saying: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. NO_MORE_TRP_STACK_LOCATIONS then its says to check that any new hardware/software was correctly installed - BUT I HAVEN"T INSTALLED ANYTHING. and also to diasble BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. i haven't done that yet. then the technical information is : *** STOP: 0x00000035 (0x86299378, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Sorry for such a long thread. I tried to provide as much detail as possible. I'll appreciate ANY help i can get. Thank you for reading!!! |

| 396210 | 2005-10-14 20:08:00 | This tfswctrl . exe by the looks of it, maybe the problem . You're using HP cd burning software? It looks like this cd burning program is causing this Direct Access Component error, and crashing . One of its files maybe faulty / corrupt . I would uninstall this cd burning software and find something better . This may fix your crashes . And this NO_MORE_TRP_STACK_LOCATIONS may have something to do with USB . What are you using thats USB? If you're using XP is SP1 or 2 installed? |

| 396211 | 2005-10-14 23:55:00 | ok....After my computer started to slow down I tried getting rid of old files that i don't use...including burning video files onto cds...and during all of this, I had a USB flash drive plugged in. but I'm still not sure how to go about fixing this...I didn't use a cd burning program persay...just dragged and dropped. And the jump drive seems to be working correctly...help? Oh and I have SP2. | katnip236 (9072) | ||
