| 396020 | 2005-10-14 04:55:00 | I have an excel spreadhseet with a number of sheets that used to contain some macros. Every time I go to open the file I get the option to enable or disable macros, but there are no longer any in the macros list. What's going on and how do I clear this file of any previous macros? | bpt2 (6653) | ||

You can check this by using the Window Unhide option to open the hidden file or just using the Tools Macro Macroes option and see if any macroes from files other than the 1 you opened are displayed in the list. If you are happy for this hidden file to Open each time you start Excel you can remove the startup message you are getting by selevting the Tools, Macro Security option and setting it to low if you are confident that any spreadsheets you open do not have any malicious macro's in them |
