395827 2005-10-13 19:40:00 Yes there is... although my father is using it to write Chinese, not English.

Still - the technology is there, so wouldn't surprise me if there was something for English as well!

Lo.

Oh! Do you mean writing tablets? If so I can't recommend anything other than the Wacom range. Though slightly more expensive, they are top quality stuff. It can even recognise the handwriting of one of my friend, who qualifies as a disabled person requiring a specialist writer writing for him in exams -he's not disabled at all! That's how bad his writing his.

395830 2005-10-13 21:46:00 You can get dedicated note noting pads at a fraction of the price of a wacom, some of them work completely indepentant of the computer, They are a4 size and have their own memory.

When your finished writing you can plug her into the USB and transfer your documents into the PC.

As for a graphics tablet, Mine cost $130, has 1024 levels of pressure, is 8x6, does hand-writing recognigtion and in the right hands can produce top quality artwork.(my artwork looks like finger painting time at the play centre.....)

Its not in the same class as a wacom, but its not in the same price bracket either, Approx $400 cheaper......
