395855 2005-10-17 08:54:00 In which program?

Fire up the coral Painter program bundled with it and see if you can paint, try it with the mouse and the brush .

This will at least tell you if its working correctly . There is also a tablet icon in your task bar to set it up

A couple of those little programs that came with it let you write messages but I dont think they convert to text .

Moving onto Office . . . . Um . . . . . . This thread knows more then I, did you do as suggested above?, The handwriting to text module of Office wasn't installed by default on mine .

For everyone else, I lent PJ my tablet to see if it would fit his needs, I didn't sell him an item that wasn't upto the job . . . . .

Yes this is correct . Metla was kind enough to LEND me his one . The fault is NOT his but as usual IS mine .

395856 2005-10-17 09:00:00 Metla.......... The programme was Word. I tried it in Corel but the same. Arrow Or Pen moves around, but nowt happens.

Speedy ...Upon CD Install, I was asked to 'Annotate All' & 'Annotate word'. I assummed that this was all that was required.. I have read thro the thread again. Maryann has copy/pasted your instructions re Word. I will attempt to navigate my way thro it..
Is there anything I should be aware of before I start?? PJ

395857 2005-10-17 09:09:00 Eh? Annotate what lol .

Nope, nothing else I am aware of . Besides what i posted previously .

395858 2005-10-17 09:15:00 Speedy.... Ok Thanks, will give it a go in the morning.. Pretty tired now, my head is nodding worse than an ex TV1 news lady. PJ. Poppa John (284)
395859 2005-10-17 09:21:00 One more thing, I put the Office Proff 2003 CD in & there was no mention of Recognition. Did you mean the XP CD? PJ Poppa John (284)
395860 2005-10-17 09:25:00 I will say it again. Metla did not sell me a Duff Tablet... He Lent me his own. That it is not working is down to me, not him. He demonstrated it in the shop & it worked fine there. Once again PJ's ineptitude shows thro. ( I am not a bad speller tho, eh.) PJ   Poppa John (284)
395861 2005-10-17 09:55:00 Umm not too sure if Office 2003 is the same as Office XP .

In Office XP, you HAVE to go to add/remove programs FIRST .

Then click on the MS office 2003 entry and click on change (on the right) .

Then put the office 2003 cd in then do what I posted previously about installing Handwriting recog .

What is the difference between Office 2003 & Office XP . Did not know of Office XP . PJ

395863 2005-10-17 20:47:00 I wouldnt have a clue what the diff is, between Office 2002 (office XP), and Office 2003 .

Most probably a few extra options somewhere . I haven't got Office 2003 . To see what the differences are .

Ok I am about to give it another go as per your instructions above . If that fails I will throw a wobbly & return it to Metla . But . . . . . which Language bar are you referring to? PJ
