| 397274 | 2005-10-18 01:29:00 | I am considering upgrading my moboard. The boards I am looking at have Serial ATA. Can I still use my 120GB H/Drive? Will I need new Cables and converter plugs? thanks for any info. |

With the new mobo. You'll need new data cables for SATA, (which may come with the mobo) as they're not the same as IDE. And also a power adaptor for SATA. (which may or may not come with the mobo as well). |

If you dont have a SATA hdd already . But you can still use the 120gb u have now, if its IDE, as either a master or slave on the ide connections . |
