| 397073 | 2005-10-17 08:43:00 | I've just been speaking to my bro in Oz. He has a fairly new comp (less than 1 year old). I don't know the specs but it has been back to the 'shop' repeatedly as shortly after start-up the screen will go black but fans/HD etc whirring away. One or two reboots will fix it and then the comp will go happily all day. The shop have just replaced the video card, but it is still getting the black screen. Any ideas where to look from the limited info? |

(**** if you ask me) So the monitor is plugged into the Video Card (Not integrated i'd imagine), so It can't be anything else really other than that. Take it back again. My old computer went back to the shop 6 times in 12 months. 1. Internal 56k Modem broke 2. Something god-forsakened happened to the motherboard 3. The CD drive bay door wouldn't open, and there was no disk stuck in it 4. Power Failure (Thought it was a Trojan or something for a minute there) Yeah you get the picture, but anyway..... yeah, take it back again for another repair. |
