396865 2005-10-16 23:03:00 I had nothing better to do this morning than update my system. this led to me playing, and some interesting errors.

It would appear that my sources list is less than desirable, i'm getting errors telling me that nothing can be got from non-us.debian.

I tend to get these types of errors, with resonable consistancy

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
RESULT=100
Even if i "run apt-get update to correct these problems" they continue. As obvious, i added
"deb ftp://ftp.nz.debian.org/debian/dists/ unstable main stable testing"
to the list, but that doesn't seem to have done much good.

So what do i have to do to get a good reliable, and preferably local supply of sources running?

396869 2005-10-17 05:51:00 5 hours, and the list is still going?

Would someone tell me if this is good or not? :confused:

396870 2005-10-17 05:55:00 non-us no longer exists

i think debian got rid of them a couple of months ago, the reason for the US and non-us are apparently no longer around
