| 397361 | 2005-10-18 20:03:00 | Well..partner, you got WildTangent in there. I had a long argument with some WT supporter a few months ago on this site. You can search for it if you like, but here's the short story of the stuff that's hanging you up: R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = bfc.myway.com - Nasty R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = bfc.myway.com - Nasty R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll - Possibly nasty O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {52B1DFC7-AAFC-4362-B103-868B0683C697} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnnn.dll - Unknown O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dla] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe - Unknown O16 - DPF: {3A7FE611-1994-4EF1-A09F-99456752289D} (WildTangent Active Launcher) - install.wildtangent.com - Nasty O20 - Winlogon Notify: pmnnn - C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnnn.dll - Unknown Not too sure about this one though...you might leave this alone for the time being and see if it is nasty or not. Kill all this stuff in HJT, and see what you get. That WildTangent thing really sucks! Stay off the AOL and AIM games! |

| 397365 | 2005-10-18 23:30:00 | Someone hacked the admin account and sent out emails with attachments saying, your account pw has been changed please download and review to this log to authorize or unathorize this change. If someone got my college pw and change dit they could drop all my classes, so I had to check :(. Thanks for help Next time check with the College first and save yourself a lot of heartache. The message didn't say your password had been compromised, it just said that they had changed it for you. If that were true, you had nothing to worry about anyway so checking wouldn't have been a problem. Writers of malicious software rely on curiosity and knee-jerk reactions to propogate their efforts. | 397366 | 2005-10-19 00:50:00 | PROBLEM RESOLVED THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! here is what I did if it helps anyone go here forums.us.dell.com It will take you to here www.atribune.org read post # 2 and follow directions. This is only if you have Trojan.Vundo.B otherwise I do not think that it will work. For me Tojan.Vundo.B caused popups for winfixer, i think it can do simular things for other sites. But that is how I sucessfuly removed it. Now Norton, Microsoft Anti-spyware, and Ad-aware don't pick it up and the file is gone from my registry as well. |
