| 396635 | 2005-10-16 03:55:00 | Just have fun, and fiddle around. Generally if you're careful, you won't blow anything up. I've fiddled around with the innards of a computer for probably close to 6 years now, and as yet, I haven't managed to break anything accidentally. | somebody (208) | ||
| 396636 | 2005-10-16 08:12:00 | Thanks all you helpful people out there...I've got the old beast put together and running like a dream. It turns out the box is ten years old and has had an upgrade or two previously. How many folks out there have a ten year old case surrounding innards that are running XP. Again thanks for your help. Now for my next project.... | Newteach (4990) | ||
| 396637 | 2005-10-16 09:10:00 | Unfortunately hardware without at least an O/S on it is just a big paperweight. And an O/S is software. He got me to set up all the software for him :P. How many folks out there have a ten year old case surrounding innards that are running XP I'm close to that. I've got a celeron 1.7 in a 9 year old case that used to house the old pentium 233 that I gave to my friend. |
