1392274 2015-01-16 22:58:00 Tried to apply the OTA update for the nexus 7 last night, and it failed, no actual error, just the broken droid on it's back.

Did a factory reset on the tablet, safe mode, wiped cache, no change. Downloaded the actual update and the ADB, attempted to apply it that way, and I get the following message, which I've also attached.

/system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf has unexpected contents.

6149

This tablet has never been rooted, and was running fine (albeit very slowly). Any ideas? Done a bit of googling but can't seem to find any resolution for this particular issue.

Thanks!

Are you sure you have the correct firmware?

1392276 2015-01-18 23:56:00 Very sure - checked and re-checked. The OTA update fails too, but doesn't tell me why. I assume it's the same reason. wratterus (105)

1392278 2015-01-20 07:06:00 Just Googling, it seems your going to need the help of someone who understands the OS. DroidSansFallback.ttf seems to be involved in lots of different aspects of Android, possibly you may get some upper level support through the official help forum? productforums.google.com PPp (9511)
