| 1392246 | 2015-01-15 19:50:00 | My mate is looking for a new computer and he is looking at this one from PB (www.pbtech.co.nz) It looks OK to me other than the PSU which is only 400W; and he also would like to add a SSD drive for his OS. Do you guys think that the 400W PSU can handle it? |

| 1392247 | 2015-01-15 23:02:00 | 400 would be Ok, a bit higher if you wanted to upgrade later. The Coolermaster power Supply Guide says roughly 215W http://www.coolermaster.outervision.com/ BUT while it does say it comes with a PSU, it doesn't say what Brand. If its the Coolermaster that sometimes comes with the cases, I'd change it. They are errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr not the best, there's better. | wainuitech (129) | ||
| 1392248 | 2015-01-16 00:04:00 | It has no graphics card and no OS which is why it's so cheap. If your mate wants to game at all he'll need a new PSU & Graphics card which will bump the price up a lot. Otherwise it's fine and 400W is tons of power for a PC with those specs if all he'll ever add is a hdd or two. PBtech will build to order sometimes at no extra cost, it may be better to choose the parts yourself and have them assemble it. |

And neither are PB Tech: . gpforums . co . nz/threads/297771-Experiences-with-Online-Retailers" target="_blank">www . gpforums . co . nz (2 . 5 stars) Expert Infotech (www . einfo . co . nz) Smart PC (www . smartpc . co . nz/) Digital Shop (http://www . softwareshop . co . nz/) ExtremePC (www . extremepc . co . nz) Global PC (http://www . globalpc . co . nz/) Dick Smith Electronics (http://www . dse . co . nz) PB Tech (www . pbtech . co . nz) (3 stars): These stores generally do the job, they are "average" . They can be problematic, but are generally not . RMA services are average, you usually have to wait several weeks for a replacement, rarely getting a replacement on the spot . (2 stars): These stores are generally unrecommended . They are at times problematic when it comes to RMA services taking very long . It is relatively rare for these stores, but they sometimes try to sell off 2nd hand goods as new . *** WARNING *** - These stores are relatively susceptible to an economic recession such as the one we are currently in as they generally rely on a high volume low profit system . There is a chance that they may shut down and that you might lose your money! |
