2015-01-10 12:33:00 | I am running Firefox 34.0.5 and Adblock Plus 2.6.6 on my PC and have recently noticed that many webpages are very slow to open or refresh. This has become very annoying. Disabling Adblock Plus presents me with so much crap. Are there some better alternatives available? I hate IE Explorer :(

2015-01-10 19:35:00 | No, the slowness appears to be the same regardless :( Firefox has been my web browser of choice for several years, but it is only recent that it has become so slow opening on many pages.

2015-01-10 20:43:00 | Its not your computer, FF or adblock. Have a read of the following earlier post -- Sound familiar ? pressf1.pcworld.co.nz | wainuitech (129) | |
2015-01-10 21:32:00 | Interesting. So what is causing the problem?

2015-01-10 22:03:00 | Wish I knew  One minute everything is OK, next its playing up . If it were on every PC here then I'd say its a hardware (router or modem) problem, BUT its random on different computers at different times . Other people on different ISP's are also having the problems  Maybe we are all being spied on at different times -- Shouldn't joke about that, may be some truth to it ;)

2015-01-11 00:19:00 | I found addblock plus started interfering with things - not displaying parts of a page etc... I'd used it for a long time (years) - but then moved to Ghostery (I use FF) I have found Ghostery to be very good If you instal it, make sure to go thru the config and block everything....
