1380127 2014-07-26 04:40:00 Hi All

I am more sedentary than I have been in a long time. I need a new hobby, preferably on computer, but not technical. (See my signature!!}

I have written a series of children s "Chapter" books but have not published anything.Now I am All Written Out. My command of the english language is good.

Any Ideas? PJ

Hey PJ, had you thought of putting your stories on a website so that kids anywhere in the world could read them? Websites are pretty easy to do 👍

Seriously what webdev said, stories are meant to be read so see about either putting them online or publishing them. I intend to one day when I have the time.

1380134 2014-07-26 17:29:00 Because you have written stories, you may want an audience, and possibly promote your work. As noted create a website or blog (easy to create on Blogger, Wordpress or TypePad). But perhaps condense, repackage, and reformat to reach out and engage where your intended audience hangout. I assume you do want an audience....

So - 1. Do a video or screen cast for YouTube (where many kids hangout). 2. Side show for slide share. 3. eBook, perhaps for Amazon (and sell if you want). Submit to article directories. 4. Become a little active on social media (The big FB).

If you write, then possibly monetize. I do, and enjoy getting and hopefully retire with earings on money from Google Adsense, affiliate programs, Amazon, and even for direct paid writing.

1. Write for Fiver, (goo.gl) Elance (goo.gl), and Helium, (www.helium.com/) and eHow.There are many directories (http:) you could write for to help promote your stories. Hubpages, GoArticles, Amzines keep me busy.

2. Maybe create niche blogs and websites to make money. Again if you enjoy content writing, and with a little keyword research, SEO, optimized useful relevant content, competition research, etc. But need to research a niche (sugarrae.com) (successful marketer) that's profitable, (sugarrae.com) write engaging content that brings and retains visitors. Though could take 3 to 6 months...then Boom - money comes - if dedicated smart writing, (www.copyblogger.com) and passionate.

3. Conduct surveys, e.g. valued options - I get 5 surveys a night. Measly 1 dollar but to 15 dollars sometimes. Some nice payouts for much higher paid surveys. Plus get to see (and eat, drink sometimes) pending consumer products for the NZ market (cereals, alcohol, beverages, etc). Gotta to keep doing them - after about a year you become a regular - so much I have to turn down many. Easy dfollars if you keep it up.

1380135 2014-07-26 17:54:00 Note PJ -

From 3 above, should be Valued Opinions NZ (http://www . valuedopinions . co . nz/) (sign up maybe) .

4 . Also paid work as a researcher for Amazon, The Mechanical Turk, ( . mturk . com/mturk/welcome" target="_blank">www . mturk . com) but I found a lot or a little at times, but got a variety with low volume high work ratios .

Most require keeping up with Google Algo's, research, different channel promotions and of course writing to suit the needs, desires and pain points of your visitors - that could become repeat customers .
