Any major UI change is unlikely to be well received by the masses, simply because their accumulated knowledge of how to use the program is now useless. And also, major UI change is likely to be less polished initially than the old UI was - regardless of the quality of the new UI design. Real test is 10 years down the track, is it still a major piece of software, and whether people like the UI - I reckon MS got it spot on there. |
