1380054 2014-07-29 08:18:00 Had a look at the phone at PBTech. Big. Nice. Sitting next to big LG phones at twice the price. But if it's 3G for one of the sims, I assume it will primarily work on Telecom XT? (which I think is 3G WCDMA 850/2100MHz). For the GSM sim does it mean 2G or 3G?

GSM is 2G.

1380055 2014-07-29 08:22:00 Hmm OK but doesn't mention anything about that in the actual specs of the phone.

Well lets put it this way . Every dual SIM phone I've looked at has been 3G SIM 1 and GSM SIM2 . Even bought a dual SIM Moto G to see what that was like. Yep you could use two Telecom SIM cards in it but only one at a time, the second one would go off line. You could use a Telecom and Voda or 2D SIM but the later would fall back to GSM mode unless you turned off the Telecom SIM.

Now if someone will buy one and prove me wrong I would be very grateful.

1380056 2014-07-29 22:12:00 The one I had is gone now, but I've got another coming, what exactly is it that you want testing? That two Telecom SIMs work concurrently? wratterus (105)

1380058 2014-07-30 06:02:00 With 2Degrees, sim in slot 1 is 3G, in slot 2 same sim is 2G.

For Telecom sims test, you'll have to wait until I'm dead.

Go pick up a Skinny one then they're dirt cheap and will do for the same test..

1380060 2014-07-30 09:16:00 They are still telecom. that's the sort of thing I prefer to avoid. ;) R2x1 (4628)

Skinny is still telecom. I have never forgiven them for blocking text messages from other providers back at the turn of the millennium.

1380062 2014-07-30 10:16:00 Hmm. I may have to get a scrawny sim after all. A management decision, her phone only has space for 1 sim, and that is with a proper telco, mine has space for two, so I am to be the chump that has the back-up den of thieves sim. I hope the inherent evil doesn't leak out. :( R2x1 (4628)
1380063 2014-07-30 10:19:00 Make sure you keep your tinfoil hat on to avoid the spark that's coming soon to a neighborhood near you. gary67 (56)
